Ann Arbor Briarwood Mall Has Bungee Jumping
| 3 Comments
I was at the Ann Arbor Briarwood Mall the other day and out of the corner of my eye I saw these kids flying through the air. Hmm. “Mighty powerful trampoline I thought.” No, not just a trampoline but a kid tied to bungee cords on either side with the support of a harness and a trampoline to get yourself in motion.
Well this looked like so much fun I was tempted to see if that would take a 150lb adult on their system. But I didn’t, maybe I’ll make a special trip there with my gravity challenging daughter and see if she wants to try it out first.
The cost is $7 for a five minutes of the “ride”. From a distance, the rigging looks safe for people weighing under 75 lbs. A harness is attached to your waist. Multiple bungee cords are then connected between the harness and the apparatus that holds the cords in the air.
There were extra bungee cords hanging and I can only assume that as the weight of the jumper goes up or down more or less cords are added to the spring system. No one bounced anywhere near the top of the mall, but these were very small kids. I suppose if you added extra chords the force would keep a larger person from hitting their head on the ceiling.
I saw one girl doing a flip in mid air – very cool! Need to get the Ann Arbor Planet Rock Climbing team out there for fun. If you’re a thrill seeker cheap thrills are available for $7 at the Ann Arbor Briarwood Mall Bungee Jumping attraction. Near Von Maur.

Man, that’s a better deal. At our mall here in Pensacola, it’s $6.00 for 3 minutes and $9.00 for 5 minutes. My kids love it though….my daughter did flips for the first time today!
OMG
This is a wonderful deal.
Not only that…
But the Bungy Jumper itself is AWESOME.
It holds a maximum of 150 lbs.
I was told by the worker
The people that work there are just so nice and friendly…
I LOVE BUNGY JUMPER ♥♥♥
Hey…
LOL
I have been to the Briarwood Mall. & I have seen the Bungy.
I swear the kids looked like they were having soooo much fun.
If I wasn’t so big myself I would definitely ride it.
Maybe they will make one for fat people
My son tried it once and hasn’t stopped talking about it since.
The lady that works there. I think her name is Amanda is so nice and loves kids…
I do not have anything bad to say about this business.
It is WONDERFUL.
