Ann Arbor, MI – Charles Woodson donates $2 million to U-M Hospital, specifically to the University of Michigan Mott Children’s Hospital and Women’s Hospital.

The University announced the gift on Thanksgiving before he played for the Green Bay Packers versus the Detroit Lions.

With this generous amount of donation, Woodson’s money will support pediatric research through The Charles Woodson Clinical Research Fund in the $754-million, 1.1-million square foot hospital that is to open in 2012.

Woodson hopes that this would be able to catch the attention of the best researchers in the world who would help children ailed by cancer, heart problems, kidney problems, and autism.

According to Woodson, becoming a father has inspired him to make this donation.
