An Ann Arbor Museum tries to attract visitors by having a little murder, mayhem, and mischief. The Washtenaw County Historical Society Museum on Main Street has a new exhibit which features the area’s ties to scandals way back in the 19th century.

Susan Nenadic, museum director said that people want to hear stories and the are has a lot of these compelling stories.

The assassin of President James Garfield, Charles Guiteau, has once lived in Ann Arbor when he was trying to gain admission to the University of Michigan. There are also stories that the founding of Ann Arbor as a county may have been ill-gotten.

The Museum is hoping that they can pull 800 visitors to witness their Murder, Mayhem, and Mischief Exhibit.
