hands-on Hands On Museum in Ann Arbor

If you have ever found yourself up north in the dead of winter, you’ll quickly realize you don’t have many entertainment options. You have downtown restaurant and bar scene, to seeing a University of Michigan game. However, for those who are looking to branch out and do something different, then Ann Arbor may have exactly what you’re looking for. It is the Ann Arbor Hands on Museum.
Ann Arbor Hands on Museum has an extensive two hundred and fifty exhibits to both teach and amuse you. A few popular exhibits that it contains are the Lights and Optics Gallery, the Waste to Watts exhibit, and the Egg of Columbus.

The Lights and optics gallery is fantasy in itself. In it you can discover the realm of light, such as shadows, colors and even lasers. All of these which you can do through hands on display.

The Waste to Watts exhibit shows just how our local landfill can use technology to turn our garbage into energy. It shows how methane gas recovered from landfills can be used as a substitute energy source helping us to reduce our use of other fuels.

Finally the Egg of Columbus shows just exactly how AC electric motors operate. Created in 1893, this new exhibit is surely something you don’t want to miss. So while in Ann Arbor, take your geek self on over, and get clued in on all the technology around you. It may just “shock” the fun right out of you!
