Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales is pleased to inform you that they will be expanding into Ann Arbor.
This microbrewery which is based in Dexter plans to open up at the old Peppers bar at 311 S Main St. They plan to open an eatery side to complement the traditional beer production facilities in Dexter.
Owner Ron Jeffries said that it is an additional unit. He said that it is going to be a restaurant with a small brewery but most of the beer will be coming from Dexter.
The operations of the famous microbrewery of Dexter are for production only. For most craft breweries, they have both a restaurant and a production brewery. Jeffries is planning to let the tourists see where the beer is brewed. He plans to add a tap room in the Dexter facility later this year.
Jolly Pumpkin in Ann Arbor is going to open in mid-September. The vibrancy of Ann Arbor and the its primary dining destination made Jeffries decide to open here.
“It’s really about location and downtown Ann Arbor is a great location for a restaurant,” Jeffries says.
