Submissions are now being accepted for the Ann Arbor Summer Festival 2010. Ever since the launch of Ann Arbor Summer Festival in 1984, nationally and internationally recognized artists have graced the events and performers have shown what they are made of at the admission-free Top of the Park. This is a very unique opportunity for aspiring artists.
There are four different venues that are now accepting submissions:
• Grassrootz Stage: This teen-friendly space is devoted to music, dance, comedy and spoken word by performers who are aged 21 or younger.
• The Grove: Last year was the debut of “After Dark @ Top of the Park,” where DJs spun hour-long sets. For 2010, “After Dark” is going to include Saturdays.
• Rackham Stage: The main stage at TOP is open to all types of genres. For band performance sets ranging from 30-120 minutes full sound, stage, lights, tech staff, merch sellers, and festival promotion are provided.
• Street performers: This is the latest addition to TOP fare. Jugglers, acrobats, face painters and magicians are most welcome here.
For more details and to submit your work, you may visit the performers submissions page at the website of Ann Arbor Festival. Although submission are accepted until February 1, 2010, participants are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
The 27th annual Ann Arbor Summer Festival is going to be held on June 11-July 4, 2010.
